The SNP claimed new polling analysis sees it on course to pick up more than 30 seats at Westminster.
The Scottish Parliament reconvenes this week with the Nationalists claiming a "summer of success" after victory in the Glasgow East by-election, overturning a Labour majority of 13,000.
And an analysis of Scottish samples of all UK opinion polls in August indicates its support has reached 38% - 11% up on Labour.
The Tories are on 19%, with the Lib Dems on 13%.
The Nationalists say this would see them gain 32 new seats, with Labour losing 31, the Tories gaining three, and the Lib Dems losing four.
An SNP spokesman said: "After a fantastic summer of success, the SNP approach the new political year full of vim - and in fine fettle for the Fife by-election, with a solid 11 point lead over Labour for a Westminster election."
A by-election is looming in the Fife constituency of Glenrothes after the recent death of sitting Labour MP John MacDougall.
The Scottish breakdowns come from a series of UK Gov and ComRes polls published in various national newspapers from the end of July to August, with a sample of more than 1,000 over the six.
A YouGov poll commissioned by the SNP at the beginning of August put the SNP lead over Labour at 7%, with the Tories on 18% and Lib Dems on 13%.
