The following by-elections for the Scottish Parliament will be held on the same date as the next Westminster election. Alex Salmond is resigning his Scottish parliamentary seat to lead the SNP group at Westminster while Dr Sam Galbraith is resigning from Westminster and the Mound for health reasons.
