| Rosie Kane was born on the 5 th June 1961 in Glasgow and was educated at Lourdes Secondary School in Glasgow. She later studied first year Social Science at university bu gave up due to financial and child minding problems. She has worked in a number of shops, in a laundry, as a sports trainer, a swimming instructer and as a youth worker in Drumchapel. She also worked with Childline Scotland as a telephone councillor. She became the SSP's Environment spokesman and was elected in 2003 from second place on the SSP list as Glasgow's fourth regional MSP. She took her oath under protest with "My oath is to the people" ritten in pen on her hand. She has been imprisoned several times for anti-nuclear protests and has also been banned from the Scottish Parliament for disruptive behaviour. After a bitter dispute that split the SSP, Tommy Sheridan MSP left with Rosemary Byrne MSP to form Solidarity, leaving Rosie Kane as top SSP candidate in Glasgow in 2007. | Anthea Irwin lives in Partick and works as a lecturer in Media Analysis at Glasgow Caledonian University, where she is a member of the EIS/ULA union. She played an active role in the Save Our Hospitals campaign, fighting to save maternity services at the Queen Mother's and opposing cuts and privatisation across the Health Service. Anthea helps co-ordinate the SSPÕs womenÕs network and is also a committed campaigner against the war in Iraq. Anthea Irwin contested the Partick ward of Glasgow City council in 2003, coming second and Glasgow North West at the 2005 Westminster election, coming sixth.

| Jo Harvie was born in 1979. She is a member of the SSP Executive and testified against Tommy Sheridan in the News of the World trial. She has been the editor of the monthly Scottish Socialist Voice since 2004. The paper hit the headlines in June 2004 when it was revealed that the six SSP MSPs were being charged £490 each for adverts which normally cost £100 and then were claiming the sums against their expenses. £5,000 of taxpayer's money was spent in this manner in 2005.
