| Donnie Nicholson was born in Inverness and was educated at Lochaber High School and Glasgow University. Aged 27, he was the Scottish Socialist Youth Organiser and is now a case-worker for SSP MSP Rosie Kane. He stood in Glasgow Maryhill in 2003. He was was arrested and charged with riot for organising an illegal demonstration in Edinburgh against the G8 conference at Gleneagles. He teaches piping and has competed at the Mod and the Feis.
