The Labour team underwent a major reshuffle some time after 16 th September 2008 (possibly September 2009?).
Cathy Jamieson was sacked or resigned as Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Health & Wellbeing and returned to the back benches.
Rhona Brankin, was sacked or resigned as Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Education, & Lifelong Learning and returned to the back benches.
Jackie Baillie was promoted from the backbenches to Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Health & Wellbeing.
Des McNulty, the Shadow Minister for Transport, Infrastructure & Climate Change was promoted to Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Education.
John Park, the Shadow Minister for Economy & Skills was promoted to Shadow Cabinet Secretary without Portfolio (Election & Campaigns).
Paul Martin, the Shadow Minister for Community Safety was promoted to Parliamentary Business Manager & Chief of Staff.
Cathy Peattie was promoted to Shadow Minister for Climate Change.
Charlie Gordon was promoted to Shadow Minister for Transport & Infrastructure.
Johann Lamont, the Deputy Leader, Chief of Staff, and Equalities spokesperson became Deputy Leader and Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Equalities, Housing & Communities
Andy Kerr, the Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Finance & Sustainable Growth became Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Finance, Economy & Skills.
Michael McMahon the Shadow Minister for Parliamentary Business & Constitutional Issues became Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Local Government
David Stewart the Chief Whip & Deputy Business Manager became Chief Whip.
Mary Mulligan the Shadow Minister for Housing & Communities became Shadow Minister for Housing.
David Whitton, the Shadow Minister for Finance became Shadow Minister for Finance, Sustainable Growth & Skills.
