David Laws MP (Lib Dem) resigned as Chief Secretary to the Treasury on the 29 th May 2010 after admitting he had claimed expenses to pay rent to his partner.
Danny Alexander MP (Lib Dem) replaced Mr Laws as Chief Secretary, while Michael Moore MP (Lib Dem) replaced Mr Alexander as Scottish Secretary.
